I was thinking about how great it would be if there was something of a Lorne Wiki. That is such a huge undertaking that I don’t see one materializing any time soon. So I began thinking how we could improve the existing resource, THE TEMPLE. Wanted to share some ideas and see if anyone else had anything to share on the subject.
Idea 1. For certain threads where it makes sense to (Threads with a lot of information, Great responses or opinions, etc. ) - The Thread creator updates original post/ 1st post with the main relevant information from the thread so it’s easy to come back and get all the important info easily without skimming pages.
Here’s an example-
Thread- Who are Lorne Catfish characters?
Initial thread post
- Who are the characters that have catfished Lorne?
Reply Post 1- Ramona
Reply Post 2- KC Mauro played by Lockhart and Emma. Tiff played her when she could but the majority of the time she couldn’t and Emma would fill in those times.
Reply Post 3- KC became Winnie later. Lockheart also played Tiffany, Winnie’s sister.
Initial thread post- gets updated
-Who are the characters that have catfished Lorne?
-Ramona
-KC Mauro played by Lockhart and Emma.
-KC became Winnie later. Lockheart also played Tiffany, Winnie’s sister.
Idea 2. These threads that have the updated Original posts have a, character, symbol, or word to alert people of that status and make it easier to search for / notice / distinguish. Like “^^^Thread Title^^^” or something like that. If adopted what signifier makes sense to use?
Note***- Not sure how people feel about citing when updating OP with info from replies. My opinion for basic information based entries it’s not needed to cite who posted said info in thread. Reasoning being if people want to see who said what they can go through the pages of the thread. If the OP is updated with opinions, well written entries or something with an artistic quality OP is updated with citation.
Thoughts? Is this even needed? Is it more work than worth? Anything to add?
