It's infuriating. He backstabbed his original fanbase, then started dogpiling on a youtuber that's been irrelevant for six years just to cover it all up. What does he have to show for it? A career of wasting time posting dumb bullshit for a cascade of obsessive, brainwashed, often mentally ill fanbase of teenagers that don't know how shitty he is. He had the potential to get serious success just doing low-budget stings like Predator Poachers or Anxiety War, but that would involve doing actual work and research instead of being spoonfed fame because of prior achievements. And don't even get me started on Shiloh's twitter antics and Chris's inability to react in anyway about it. I THINK THIS STORY IS A PIECE OF SHIT!
Looks like that YouTube money bought Hansen a new pair of Beats headphones. Either that or someone was stupid enough to loan him money again.
And yeah, as someone who's watched most of the interviews before I was made aware of the full scope of Hansen's bullshit, I can say most of the interviews are VERY boring if you knew virtually any details of what it would be about beforehand. The only interviews that are interesting are the ones where the conversation is basically carried by the interviewee. I heard Hansen was on ground zero for 9/11 and interviewing survivors there so I'd imagine he'd have to have been an effective reporter there. So it makes me wonder if TCAP was to blame for him developing a much more "drill to the base" form of interviewing to break past the pred's defense barriers. All of his questions and tone in them make them (at least) seem like extremely specific questions designed to elicit a very specific response, and it leaves little room for perspective or additional thought (that the tcap predators would have used as a bullshitting tool) unless you're a really experienced interviewee, which almost none of these people are.
I could probably watch twenty different interviews on Mike Warrecker saying the same basic, objective information about him and enjoy it if the interviews brought additional thoughts and perspectives. But Hansen fails to do that here, even though there's serious potential to do it when he's not interviewing the same 3 big youtubers and circlejerkers to milk every last drop of views out of it. Not only that, he only ever scrapes the surface of events happening in the case, in this case when new things surface created by Onision.
In every interview it seems the interviewee tries to reach to the broad details to describe the story while Chris gets close to hamfisting it with more specific and leading questions. At least in my opinion, it's just a massive circlejerk with no way of moving forward at this point. If you haven't kept up with twitter drama,
