For the past week or so, I've been posting a series of threads here going over the various unaired predators from each sting - aptly titled "A TCAPist's guide to the unaired predators". Most recently, I put up a guide to the unseen guys from Petaluma (peep it here: templeoftcap.freeforums.net/thread/8293/tcapists-guide-unaired-predators-petaluma). And literally every comment I've gotten on it has been about one guy: James Craig Traylor. Which makes sense, because I do believe him to have been one of the biggest missed opportunities for NBC because his chatlog is just fucking golden. I figured I'd drop this thread here in the event that anyone wants to speculate further on this guy.
Some highlights:
- Traylor lives in the Bay Area but is originally from Alabama. He mentions this briefly and seems to confirm it once he casually drops the n-word in the middle of his chat.
- Traylor is extremely gay and has a wide social circle and an ex-boyfriend he mentions a few times in chat. He also seems to know many young, possibly underage males in both Alabama and the Bay Area. Upon further reading, it is mentioned that this ex-boyfriend was 14 when Traylor met him at the age of 33.
- He tells the decoy about a time that he was fucking a guy and the guy told him to "put it in his boy pussy". (Appropriately) weirded tf out, he immediately got up and left.
- He tells the boy he's chatting up that he should invite male classmates over to his house, watch porn with them, then get a blanket, jerk off under it, and see if the other guy follows suit. "That way NO one is gay. its just a thing" - yes, this is a thing he actually believed would work, as the boys he knew that were around the decoy's age apparently got their gay sexual encounters that way.
- He lived with an 83 y/o man named Ian (whose last name I know but will withhold on the basis of Ian not being a pedophile) and served as his caretaker. In return, Traylor was technically unemployed but lived in a $1.1M house overlooking the bay and drove an Acura for practically free.
- Ian was born a British national in then-British Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). As a result, Ian traveled a fair bit and Traylor got to come along on his dime. Traylor, as mentioned in the linked thread, couldn't tell the difference between Zimbabwe and South Africa. It is also unknown if Ian continued to allow Traylor near him after he got caught trying to molest a kid, as he was listed nowhere in Ian's obituary when he passed a few years back.
