Hi everyone...I've gotten so much entertainment out of the Predoverse. I wanted to find a way I could give back, to make you all feel a little more like the special princesses you are because that's how much you mean to me. So, I picked out my all-time favorite video and have started in on transcribing it. I'll post more as I get further in...Jim isn't easy on the ears and there's a ton of stuff going on. I actually find reading the text helps me to better understand the video as well. Basic notation added by me on items that I found interesting. Enjoy!
Part 1: In which there is much stammering
(Male): So you just were out driving?
(Jim): No, no I don't want to admit, admit that.
(seems like an OVI defense...I believe he wasn't knee-walking drunk, but definitely lifted)
(Male): Ok, ok. Did you come out to see, see somebody today?
(Jim): Uh, somebody invited me to come over.
(Male): Ok. Well, who was that?
(Jim): Um…Cheyenne somebody.
(Male): Ok. How'd you meet, uh, how'd you meet Cheyenne?
(Jim): I was on, online, and it came up.
(Male): Ok. Uh, when you were online, do you, do that at home? Or do you..
(Jim): I do it home.
(Male): You do it at home? Ok.
(Jim): Yes.
(Male): Do you, is that generally the only place you do it?
(Jim): Yes.
(Male): Ok. Well, do you, do you have your own personal computer or a laptop?
(Jim): Yes.
(Male): And so…
(Jim): Both.
(Male): Oh, do you have, you have both?
(Jim): I actually have two laptops.
(Male): Two laptops? Ok. Um, do you use…
(Jim): That's my business.
(classic)
(Male): Ok, it's your business. Ok.
(Reid): What…what type of business?
(first and last we hear from Kathryn for awhile)
(Jim): My…I do webpages for, for University of Cincinnati. I have access to those, those, uh…I need to have access to those in, in order do business...with them.
(Male): Ok. Ok. And do you usually use all those computers to chat to people? Or…chat? Or, do you use just one, one specific, or...?
(Jim): Um, usually at home.
(didn't answer the question...perhaps he meant 'only my personal laptop'?)
(Male): Usually at home. Ok. Alright…and…
(ignores...not important)
(Jim): If I do, if I do chat…
(Male): If you do…
(Jim): …which I don't , I don't do…but that…again, because the fact of the business that I'm in. Chat is a part of what I do, and chat is a part of the University of Cincinnati distance learning.
(another classic)
(Male): Ok. Um…
(Jim): And…I need to be able to do, to access that, in order to be able to do the business…the business side...with them.
(Male): Ok. Ok. Um…so you met, so you met Cheyenne…?
(redirecting back)
(Jim): I didn't met, meet Cheyenne….she, she...came after me.
(wut)
(Male): Ok, she came after you? Tell me about that.
(Jim): I don't, I don't know…I don't exactly know how it happened, at all.
(Male): Ok.
(Jim): I have no recollection at all what happened for her to make contact with me. I don't know. Was on…was I on some line of some sort…I have no idea.
(Male): Ok. So you were chatting and she came on, she came on to you while you were chatting some, sometime?
(Jim): Well, somebody did…who, whatever, whoever Cheyenne is.
(Male): Ok. Do you, do know how old Cheyenne was?
(Jim): She told me she was 13, but and, and I was very, very, very...I don't, I don't do that.
(he was slurring before...when he talks about Cheyenne, he stammers as well)
(Male): You don't do that?
(Jim): I don't want to do that. I mean, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not there.
(Male): You're not there?
(Jim): No, not at all.
(Male): Ok. Uh…
(Jim): I'd be happy, you know, like, give me a, give me an 18, 19 year-old and I'll be happy.
(truth)
(Male): Oh yeah.
(male cop eggs him on)
(Jim): 13 year olds, I'm…god, it's, it's gross.
(Male): Not your thing?
(Jim): No, not at all.
(Male): And…when you were talking to Cheyenne on the chat, chat line…what, what'd you guys talk about?
(Jim): Well, up until this afternoon, which was…uh, what I, I, I gave in 4, 5, I thought, thought she was more like, uh, an adult, but…um, no, no, yeah…I was very, very cautious not to, not to be there. I didn't want to be there.
(stammering)
(Male): Ok.
(Jim): I really don't. I really, that's not, not, not my thing. I don't like it, don't want it…don't want…[unintelligible] were.
(Male): But you might have had a little curious…a little curiosity?
(Jim): No, no. No, I don't have any [unintelligible]…
(Male): Which is normal…
(I didn't pick up on this gem until I listened super-closely...male cop comes off a little sharper in text form IMO)
(Jim): …I'm not, I'm not not even curiosity. I don't have any curiosity about it. It's, it's too young, it's, it's, it's stupid. And, now you can go back and look at all the records of the conversations I've had…yeah, that's exactly what I said. It's, it's stupid. That's not what I want to be.
(Male): Ok. You know…
(Jim): I don’t even like...I don't even, I don't even…that's not, that's not me.
(Male): That's not you?
(Jim): No, not at all.
(Male): Uh, do you have any type of webcam or anything like that?
(Jim): I do have a webcam.
(Male): Ok, ok. Um, do you ever use it for any, for any purposes, or…?
(Jim): It's, it's available.
(Male): Ok.
(Jim): Use it? I don't know what that means.
(Male): Ok. Alright. So, we didn't, we didn't get into what you guys talked about. What, what'd you guys talk about?
(webcam is dead-end for now, let's redirect)
(Jim): I was very, very, up until today, which is obviously the reason…results have come…I had been very, very cautious of not talking about anything. I do not want to be involved with a 13 year-old.
(Male): Ok.
(Jim): I do not like it, I don't want it, and…I, for some reason I just, I just gave…relaxed, and…
(Male): So, who do you think you were talking to?
(Jim): Another person.
(Male): Another person. Ok.
(Jim): Really, [unintelligible]…that's honest with you, uh, for whatever worth, value that is…
(Male): Eh…I've…
(Jim): I've done, I've done…I can not condone the, the, the statements that I would've made this afternoon to her. I, I would, I wish I could retract them.
(Male): Yeah.
(Jim): Not because of you guys.
(Male): Yeah.
(Jim): But because the fact that I, I…I just don't, that's not it. That's not me. I don't know, I don't see it. I don't…
(stammering...he's super uncomfortable)
(Male): Jim, I understand, alright. And…and…[unintelligible]…I understand you've, you've made a mistake, ok? I've read the chats.
(Jim): Right. And you can see how…
(Male): You know, you know, I see here where you told her that you wanted to fuck around…and that you…
(Jim): Where, where…and what, and what provoked that?
(if he wasn't drunk, I'd say this was a probing question to the detectives and what dirt they had)
(Male): You know, yeah…
(Jim): I mean, you, we can go down…
(Male): Yeah.
(Jim): I'm not gonna go through the details so the thing is…
(Male): [Unintelligible] I know, I know…
(Jim): I understand what you're doing. And I knew [unintelligible]…
(Male): I'm just trying, I'm just trying to understand here…you know…
(Jim): I…I did not, I didn't [unintelligible], not meet with her, number one. Number two, I, I didn't really want to meet with her.
(I wonder if him listing points like this is because he's talking down to the cops or because he's desperate to keep his shit straight)
(Male): Ok.
(Jim): It was, it was…I, I really, if you go to the bottom lines of things, talk, let, let's talk about facts that I denied and I did not want to do that. I really did not want to.
(Male): Jim, I know you're under a lot of pressure right now. And I'm sure your wife…
(never caught this before...trying to turn the screws in, but Jim is oblivious anyway)
(Jim): I'm not under any pressure at all…
(Male): I…well…
(Jim): I'm really, I'm really not. I mean, well, obviously being here is a little bit of pressure, but that's not…
(Male): Are you married?
(Jim): Yes. No, no, god no. You want her? You can have her.
(Male): Eh, heh…I already got, I got one of my own. I, I, that's enough for me.
(Jim): Yeah, this would just give her ammunition, that's all.
(Male): Well, I'm not trying to give any ammunition for nobody. This is just me, you, and Kate here, ok?
(Jim): Well, it's not, but…
(Male): Well…
(Jim): Ok. I did not do anything to this, whatever this person is, whoever it is. I did not intentionally…
(Male): Ok.
(Jim): …meet with, I met with this person because this person, whoever it is, male or female or whatever…enticed me to the point where I wanted to [unintelligible]…
(Male): Enticed you.
(Jim): And I, I…
(Male): Did you…so you guys did talk about sexual acts in your conversations.
(Jim): I don't remember that.
(Male): Ok.
(Jim): You can go back and [unintelligible]…
(Male): Yeah…I mean, I [unintelligible]…
(trying to parse Jim constantly trying to talk over the cops is pretty difficult)
(Jim): …I don't know, I don't really don't know, it doesn't really, as far as I'm concerned…
(Male): You know…
(Jim): It doesn't matter.
(Male): You know, I…Jim…I'm just trying to figure out what really happened. Because if, well if we don't talk about it now and if I just give this to somebody, they're going to think you are…a sick, maybe possibly a child predator, and I don't think you're that for me. Ok?
(Jim): I'm not.
(Male): And you're not. But if we don't talk about it, what else…
(Jim): [Unintelligible]
(Male): …what else can I tell people, saying, 'You know, Jim, Jim made a mistake. This [unintelligible] happened...'
(Jim): I didn't follow through, number one. Number two…
(Male): Yeah.
(Jim): Number two, uh, because if the fact that I didn't follow through was, is, uh, I'm not so sure that I would've turned down the street where I was picked up.
(Male): Yeah.
(Jim): Uh, if you, if you check back on the, the records, on the, the results, there've been three, three, at least three times where I, where I turned around. And I, I, I, I'm not, I, I don't do this. I don't, number one, I don't really want to. Ok?
(epic stammering; any OVI concerns are completely forgotten at this point)
(Male): Uh huh.
(Jim): Give me some sex, ok? And I'll find ways to do the sex, but don't, don't [unintelligible] here's the thing [unintelligible] this is crap. It's really, really crap.
(Male): If nobody stopped you tonight, what do you think might have happened?
(Jim): Nothing.
(Male): Nothing?
(Jim): Absolutely nothing. And I'll be honest with you about that. I, I…nothing. Nothing would've happened.
(Reid): [clears throat]
(cough *bullshit* cough)
(Jim): I, uh, ok…god, is this, is this the place to tell…those stories?
(I want to think that Reid's cough and both cops looking at him incredulously caused the unraveling beyond this point)
(Male): Yes. Good as place as any. Jim, we're just trying to be honest with each other.
