We all know how the pervert cheats as easily as he breathes, and when a shiny new prospect comes along, he overlaps relationships, we also know that he never leaves anyone he's "in love with", and he certainly never let's them walk away, and he certainly never thinks about what's best for his latest victim, so why would he let Molly go so she could go through high school and date guys her own age? Who's to say that he wasn't still preying on Molly when Kayla came along? Who's to say that he didn't dump Molly, as soon as Kayla said "K"? At one point, Kayla was asking about the kids on his MySpace page, where he told her about Molly being the "one before her", and later, when Molly's status was something like heartbroken and depressed or something, and Kayla commented on it, and Lorne told her that she was depressed because her boyfriend had dumped her, and changed the subject. What if he was the boyfriend that Molly was heartbroken over?
We look at him through the eyes of adults and we know him as a pervert, but to a young teen who has low self-esteem, a bad homelife and especially with an alcoholic parent, a boyfriend, especially an older boyfriend, can be like a life preserver, and he hadn't been caught yet, and she undoubtedly didn't know that she was his victim. He claims that he told her that she needed to be free to date guys her own age and enjoy her young life. Lorne dumped Winnie as she was dying in the hospital, and he cheated on Ramona while she was recovering from surgery, So why would he be so considerate and magnanimous with Molly? Nothing about him has changed, and he was no doubt just as obsessive and possessive with her as he was with the catfish. Everything he says about her, is the exact same thing that he says about all of the catfish that he's "loved", and he isn't capable of changing, so why would we automatically believe that he didn't dump Molly for Kayla? At one point he also told Kayla that they needed to keep their relationship quiet because there were "Mean people online who have a problem with their relationship" and then there was the whole "staged breakup" that he was telling her had to happen, and then suddenly nothing. We all know he loves drama, so what if behind the scenes, Molly was threatening him or she told an adult about him, and the adult was threatening charges? He never has a relationship without drama and people who are trying to break him and his target up, so why wouldn't he have one then?
Thoughts?
