Casey Anthony - The Female Lorne

Casey Anthony’s narcissism is different breed to Lorne’s version. She’s an attractive woman who likely had great success manipulating people her whole life and getting away with deplorable behavior (up until she murdered her child). Lorne’s development stems from being ignored and deprived of life benchmarks, and he believes he’s deserving of better things than others simply on the basis that he “suffered” numerous (what he deems) injustices. He’s numbed himself from empathy and compassion because no one has ever shown him the same.

I was thinking about OJ Simpson and similarities to Lorne. Abusive behavior. Stalking-would follow Nicole around to stores. Found a picture of a guy she was dating after they had broken up, and went crazy (Sounds like the Rawd ordeal). Probably paranoid over Nicole's platonic friend Ron Goldman (Similar to the catfishes and guy friends). The thing is Lorne has no money, is famous for TCAP, has no charisma, no power over anyone. Terrible looks. It would be something if Lorne had any of these things, and how he would use them to abuse people. It is fair to compare him to people like Casey Anthony.

There are some similarities, but nawt a whole lawt I would say. Casey led the cops and her community on a merry chase, threw her entire family under the bus and lied well enough to be acquitted.

Meanwhile, Lorne is a complete idiot and while he lies often he cannot do so convincingly and struggles to be consistent. He has never successfully manipulated anyone from what we know, aside from maybe his mother a little bit and some contractor scams.

I would say there's at least an order of magnitude of difference between the two of them in terms of capabilities alone. Casey's not nearly as smart as she thinks she is, but she is a far smarter and more capable manipulator than Lorne

I have to agree with this. They share many similar traits but there are many differences as well and while they overlap in a multitude of characteristics I think there too many they don’t in to say they are basically the same. I’ll say it because nobody else will give Casey Anthony any positive remarks… she is attractive. She is a good looking woman. Her narcissism draws from this. She can use it to her advantage to get what she wants. Lorne looks like he rose from a swamp. He is narcissist because he knows he’s an ugly buffoon and bolsters his confident facade with all compliments he receives and his brain shuts out anything negative said. It’s more of a defense mechanism unlike Casey’s aggressive, manipulative approach. Not saying Lorne is not a manipulator, but they both use different aspects of their character as the foundation for their manipulative actions.

I think I disagree with Lorne being a narcissist. I’ve known a few of them, and the symptoms tend to be really marked, and usually involve cunning/sly manipulative behaviour, typically with high emotional intelligence. I wouldn’t say Lorne is cunning/manipulative/emotionally intelligent, he’s just thick as shit with no morals, and I think probably sees himself as a child.

The Casey Anthony case was similar to OJ Simpson by the looks. There was a mountain of circumstantial evidence that cumulatively made guilt overwhelmingly likely - given all the evidence there was no other reasonable explanation. But no single piece of evidence was by itself great. And in both cases a good defence chipped away piece by piece at the evidence, until there wasn’t the same volume of good evidence, and there was just about a chink of room for doubt if you looked at it right.
