The Predator Archives 2024: TCAP Archival Project

For anyone's information, I looked at borrowing a flash drive from the internet archive. They ship it to you, it costs $25 in the US, and you must return it within 30 days in a prepaid return envelope. It does say copying it is prohibited..

If Tixx or whoever has the keys around here can put this behind some "trusted members only" wall or something similar, I'm happy to contribute part of my Google drive or my website (I doubt these take up much) to store these. I'm also happy to offer my copies of the eps. I'm at work right now but will look at this again once I get home.

Someone was just on here selling a bootlegged bluray of TCAP earlier this month. I'm not certain what the actual quality of the episodes was, but I believe they claimed some were original broadcast quality.

I have the Lotto thief one that I downloaded from somewhere ages ago.

I don't know much about files and bit rates and all that, but from what I can glean from the right-clicking, it is 480 by 360 frame width, only 38 minutes long and 167 MB total; the frame rate is like 29.98 or something to that effect, and the video bit rate is 598 kbps (whatever that means). I doubt it is high quality at the file size of only 167 MB, but it is something...

Am I the only one who doesn't care too much about the quality of the videos? I mean, I'm a religious watcher and I hunt out clips on the Internet.

To be fair, the quality of the show wasn't fantastic to begin with (it was largely shot on DVCAM which is only SD), but I'd love to have an archived version of the show in its original quality, especially for some of the LQ copies we've got currently.

Where should I send/upload it?
And do I delete my archives afterwards?

You can use wetransfer.com, which is free and doesn't need an account. Best of all it'll automatically delete your archives after 3 or 7 days depending on what you set it to, so you won't get in trouble with your parents
