There was a post a few weeks back that I meant to respond to and forgot about I was only reminded of it because of today's Casey call.
The post was about the call where he was asked why he failed the question about having viewed nude images of minors. While trying to explain it away he slipped and said something along the lines of "it's been years since I saw those images" but unless I'm mistaken it was actually even more damning than that.
NNow if I remember correctly there were a few people who didn't feel that this was an admission because it didn't think that he was sad enough to work the dark web in the way necessary to find those types of websites. So here's what I know when it comes to that my father worked for America online he didn't get a paycheck but if you remember there was a monthly fee and there was also things that if you were interested in doing would cost you an hourly rate if I'm not mistaken I definitely know there was a monthly fee but I could be getting confused about the hourly rate my father got this job because he used to work for Quantum link which was basically AOL beta for the Commodore 64 which ran from the mid 80s till 1995. No shit. Google it. The C64/128 had basically a huge BBS (GOOGLE IT KIDs) that had chat rooms and everything back in 1985.
Anyway that part doesn't matter. He had the same job on both systems. He was a guide and a monitor who would sit in chat rooms and basically answer any questions , help any members , get rid of any troublemakers and that's how I know for a fact that there were literally dozens of member made chat rooms on America online for people trading x-rated pictures and some of the pictures being traded were CP.
There were times as a guide where he would go undercover into one of those rooms. occasionally someone would send a request or comment saying "trading yng" or something like that and there are people who would just send the person pictures assuming that anyone in the room who was trading was looking for the same thing as them. I do know for a fact that he got people's accounts fried for CP but I don't think they would involve the police at least not to my knowledge.
. I'm only bringing this up to erase away the thought that back in the early 2000s when he would be doing his internet prowling he would have to find CP by figuring out how to navigate the dark web which makes it unlikely that he would have been able to know sadly it wasn't like that at all and the ease of trading those kinds of things was a huge problem for AOL chat rooms and I'm guessing although I have no personal knowledge it was likely just as easy to do one Yahoo chat rooms
