Decoys ranked from best to worst

I wonder if they ever had any type of competition to see who could get more guys over. From the actors to the PJ decoys. I don't have an exact list of who but, Dude from Flagler and HvP are my worst.

*Don't drag me for putting Del first. Personally, besides her corny "just stubbed my toe" lines, she was one of the more convincing ones especially as a dude.

I mostly put them in order from who made me cringe the least to most

Can someone write the stings next to the decoys names please. I'm always getting mixed up who was decoy at each sting.

1. "Nervous Nellie" (HVP)
- She played the role of a nervous teenager well, she looked like she could pass for 15 or so, and her lines were believable. We only saw her in the one scenario (with her inside the house luring the predator inside), but she seems like she can improvise well. I think with more experience, she could easily have the predators sitting down and telling their life stories like Casey did.

2. Latino male decoy (NJ)
- He just had one appearance, but again he excelled in playing the part of a nervous teenager meeting an adult. He was the right blend of friendly and nervous, and he made a nice recovery when he tripped on the rug. He looked like a teenager, and he at least matched the description given in the chat.

3. Emily Bicks (Fort Myers, Darke County OH, Fortson GA)
- Out of all of the decoys, she was the one who looked most like a teenager. Her "character" was somewhat innocent, friendly, slightly silly (whether she intended to be or not), all of which fit the role of a teenage decoy well. She had a few dumb lines, but her voice and demeanor made up for them. Her most difficult moment was the library card encounter, and you could tell she was mostly acting on the continued instruction of PJ, and not making up the responses herself. She may not have been the best improviser, but her hesitation almost played into the role of acting like a nervous teenager.

4. Casey Mauro (NJ, Bowling Green)
- Casey did pretty well, and was pretty friendly/nervous with the predators. She was one of the best improvisers, with the only exception being the "our plumbing doesn't work" excuse, which I believe she was told to say from PJ & the cops to keep anyone from going anywhere in the house unsupervised. She was put in a variety of roles (on the beach, in the house, etc.) and she seemed natural with them all. She gave a few stupid lines, but it's almost excusable because teenagers, specifically nervous ones, tend to say stupid stuff anyway. She kept her distance well, and even though she didn't always match the chat description, she thought on her feet with excuses.

5. Dani Jayden (Long Beach)
- Dani did well, and it helped that she matched the description given in the chats. She wasn't all that nervous, and it was hard to see her passing for 13, but she did a pretty good job staying mobile and luring the decoys in the house.

6. Amanda (Fortson GA)
- She did a pretty good job, despite the fact that she didn't match the description given in the chat a few times (I don't know why PJ did this). I'm mainly thinking of James Klein and the cocaine cowboy who came to meet black girls. She picked up the role at the last minute, and she seemed to be able to improvise in those situations. The only negative part of her performance was the line about the sweet tea "That's how we do it down south". It felt put-on.

7. Rochelle (Petaluma)
- Rochelle's acting was pretty good, but she simply looked too old (maybe ~17 or so). She did a good job moving away from the predators quickly so they probably didn't get a good look at her. Once she was behind the partition in the backyard, all of the predators seemed to buy her act. She seemed a bit too confident to be 13-14, but that's just my opinion.

8. Del (Various)
- You may think I'm crazy for rating Del this high, but hear me out. Yes, there are plenty of criticisms about Del (the look, the stupid lines, etc), but I think that the show was able to use her advantages well. She was pretty convincing as a male decoy (the one exception being with Don Cheech). She also generally kept her distance really well and didn't give anything away. She also did some of the phone work, which requires additional skill. Most of the time she was the decoy, she was hidden from view, so her looks didn't matter too much anyway. Most of the predators bought the "stubbed toe" and "brushing my teeth" excuses, even though all of us TCAP veterans roll our eyes when we hear them.

9. Dan Schrak (Riverside, Murphy TX)
- He did pretty well, but to me he seemed a little too outgoing and friendly to seem convincing as a 13 year old. A few of his lines were questionable - "Do you wanna go first, take off your clothes", and "how was the drive" specifically.

10. Samantha (Flagler Beach)
- She had one of the more challenging roles, being both in the house and on the beach. I don't think some of the beach/boardwalk scenarios were managed well (predators often got spooked or weren't convinced of the decoy), but she did her best. Her main downfall was that she seemed a little too "creeped out" in some instances. Obviously it's understandable, but she lacked the charisma of someone like Casey who was generally pretty good at having the predators sit down and talk.

11. White male decoy (Flagler Beach)
- I just didn't see very much of him. He did okay with Anthony Sorrentino, but he looked a little old and didn't talk much. I don't want to rate him this low, but I just don't have much to go on.

12. Lindsay Wagner (Murphy TX)
- I don't think she's as bad as some people make her out to be, but she seemed a little too goofy in her scenes. I know she's supposed to be a teenager, but it seemed to put off some of the predators. Also, I think the reason some of the predators turned around was because she didn't match the chat description (it's mentioned a few times that some of them were supposed to be meeting an Asian girl). That's pretty difficult to play off, and I think that she might've done better otherwise. Her lines weren't the worst, but I think her downfall was due to her appearance.

13. Male decoy (HVP)
- Looks to be in his mid 20's at least, "Me, my mommy, and my daddy". Need I say more?

The good: Dani, Bailey, Palumbo's bottom boy

The half-decent: Emily, Amanda, Casey, Del, Nervous Nellie, Samantha, Rochelle

The awful: Dan, Lindsay, Me my mommy and my daddy

I sort of go back and forth, so the above kind of switches around a little for me. I think the main problem with a lot of the decoys was overacting - too friendly, too outgoing, too direct with questions and too controlling of the situation. Most teens are restrained, awkward, socially anxious and not very assertive. I think even though they were required to wave guys in and be welcoming, it might have worked better if some had just been like "okay dude, whatever" instead of the whole "no come on in, it'll be fine, pleeeease!"

The more I think about it, the more I think the whacked-my-toe/chocolate-chips-on-my-shirt spiel was just plain bizarre. I don't think I'd have walked in myself if I couldn't have seen the girl directly, but some of the preds just sat there and seemed content to have something of a long distance relationship for a good few minutes between rooms lol.

HvP boy is a story all his own though. Abominable acting (my sympathies for the acting coach who has to pretend he's doing ok in theater school), too stiff, wooden, and far too old-looking. Kid can grow a fuller beard than me.

I still think Me, my mommy, and my daddy is worse than Del! Not only is he a shitty actor, but he looks at least twice the age that he is supposed to portray.

On a related note, who is the best "decoy" among the fanbase? (The Stanley stuff, for example)

Easily the best decoy among the tcap fanbase has to be Paul Stanley. That guy could have had his own sitcom unrelated to Tcap. He got a lot of good information as well as being a complete riot.

OPete was a great decoy as well. He let Stan lead the way, but would often guide him down the road he wanted. There are subtle easter eggs hidden throughout the calls that maybe not many would appreciate.

Rick Stanley was great also. His old fashioned phrases, always wanting to please daddy and his outrageous orgasms. He was entertaining to listen to.

Mike V as Nathan Downhour was a fun time. It's just too bad there is only one call.

Michelle Simpson is funny for just how ludicrous it was. She would slip in and out of 2 voices mid-sentence and Lorne was ready to eat it up. And she was clearly the hottest with Lorne willing to pound her after talking to her less than 24 hours.

Ramona has to be the worst. Her voice is grating. She never directed the calls in a comical way. She would just talk in circles. She gave up 8+ hours on the phone with a sex offender for no real pay off. Her calls could have been in and out within an hour and have the same effect.
