Some insight into the Paula story.. (Makes a lot of sense)

In that same call (21:57), Lorne says that Paula "went back to Alaska" and then came back to Maine Washington two years later (probably 1997). It's when she came back that "she had thoughts of gettin' married to me in her head" before Lorne told her "it weren't happenin'".

Paula lived in Washington State, not Maine.  When she 'came back to visit', that's where she came back to.  Paula is from away, Lorne was never with Paula in the State-a-Maine, full stop.

Anyone else tired of the McClure videos?

This dude is supposed to be an adult but just brags like some junior high kid.

He can't talk about a single thing Lorne does or doesn't do with out comparing it to some, bullshit, story that supposedly happened to him, personally.

I could understand one or two or six but its everything, every time and he goes on and on and on in every video he makes, that I've listened to.

Didn't Joey or one of them speak to the actual Paula and she said they barely knew each other? I had also heard about the other one who's name I can't recall who supposedly "Owed him money" she said she had met Lorne and made it clear she was engaged and he wouldn't stop trying to hit on her until her fiancé told him to stop.

That was Nikki and given that the paper trail and unusually consistent statements by Lorne and corroborating comments from Gwen don't line up with her story I'm inclined to think she was working the marks, brother.

Yeah, there’s a hint of misogyny driving a lot of the Nikki backlash. People like doubting women, even if it means listening to Lorne Armstrong and his mother (not exactly an unbiased source).

Yeah that's cute but it's not supported by the actual evidence.

Set aside Lorne actually being consistent and Gwen berating him for trying to buy love, his financials from that time line up with what he says happened. He was taking loans and cratered his finances at the same time he was "helping" Nikki. This is all perfectly in line with Lorne's established patterns of behavior and its backed up by the paper trail he yakked up back when he filed for bankruptcy during Ramona. Unfortunately Lorneography is a disorganized mess so I have nothing on hand but he took out bigass loans and had nothing to show for them, not even a bounty from the dump. Perhaps my more erudite colleague bolofsugah can help me fill in some blanks here.

It also requires some serious logical leaps to believe the story that she barely knew Lorne. How did he get MomN's number to text her five thousand times in a row? How did he know where she worked in the first place? We know Lorne is delusional and desperate, but he also doesn't do this to every random cashier he meets. He'd have restraining orders out the ass as opposed to just the one with Nikki.

You can wring your hands and cry misogyny all you want but that dog ain't gonna hunt, chief. Nikki juiced a retarded pedophile and when some guy from the internet hit her up about it, she denied it because who the fuck would admit that to a stranger? If she'd said something like "yeah we hung out a few times but he went crazy" sure, I could buy that. But trying to sell it as Lorne just appearing one day in full blown Lorne Mode? Come on, son. 

Oh and I'm not 100% on this so I'll leave it at the end here and someone can corroborate/disprove: Lorne claims he took her to a family barbecue. This may not be the last step before marriage like Lorne thought it was, but its also not indicative of barely knowing each other. I think this has been mentioned by Roy so its not pure something dismissible as pure  Lorne headcanon but I could be wrong.

I'd also like to add that I don't think "backlash" is really a fitting term. I think she absolutely took his money and knew exactly what she was doing but I'm not like, railing against her for anything beyond peddling a fairly obvious lie when asked about it. I recognize Lorne got taken advantage of but I feel zero sympathy for him because he's a fucking cunt and would do the same thing to someone else without a moment's hesitation.

I just think she's full of shit for obvious reasons but that's as far as my "backlash" goes. White trash conning white trash isn't exactly some momentous event. I even get why she wouldn't want to admit it. But that doesn't make it any less bullshit.
