The hilarious thing is Hansen has put his foot in a legal trapjaw. I've contacted a us lawyer and so have a handfull others. The youtube email is so threatening I am worried it might hurt me if I dont do some legal defence.

YT makes Hansens false counterclaim sound like a caged death match with only winner. Pretty sure we'll win. Hansen is fucked if just half of what they say about false CR claims is true. Speaking irl terms, not youtube. Cant wait to see him and vincent blame each other as the documents fly.

The Doctor is back in the house. Everything I said about Hansen turned out to be true and worse. I take no pleasure in having been right. I feared he would try and take advantage of the people who have kept his name relevant for the past decade but I never thought he would go this far out of his way to tear down, insult, and harass them.

I'm glad to see Pence's channel in tact. Good luck to everyone fighting Hansen's spurious copyright claims. I always thought it was highly shady he was trying to monetize NBC's footage as well as police investigation materials that rightfully belonged to the public.

Has Chris also flagged stuff from other investigations? I know the Day Care video has made the rounds as well as the Bike Thief video because they make Hansen look like a yutz. I'm sure there's plenty of other videos out there from his other "To Catch A..." shows. The people hosting them likely don't own them and they have flown under the radar. Or is he just focusing on the predator stuff since that's what's in dispute here?

I do remember seeing Hansen tweet that bike thief video a while back.

Glad you did! I was thinking about doing this myself. This situation needs someone with a voice larger than ours and outside of the community bringing it to light. I hope they read it and look into.

I don't see how CH expects to monetize content he doesn't own about a show that no one outside a relatively small number of people even cares about. He needed to recognize his show biz career is over and get a job doing video editing or production or something behind the scenes if he wanted to stay in the TV industry.

It’s a crappy, totally unnecessary situation. I’m not a content creator, but I’m an avid viewer of certain Lornographers. Luckily for me, for a long time I have converted YT videos to MP4 and MP3 and put them onto my external HD. Specifically for stuff like this. You never know when something is going to disappear. My advice to anyone worried about channels or videos being removed is to do the same. It still sucks for the content creators though. Fingers crossed this blows over and the community moves onto the next drama.
