Yeah, not exactly a fun topic, but one of the aspects of TCAP that most interests me is the psychology behind those who commit sex crimes. It's no surprise that many perpetrators of molestation were victims themselves, and I've seen this explained by a few different reasons; One prominent one I've seen is maybe a subconscious desire on their part to reclaim a sense of power that they feel they lost during their molestation. For the most part, we don't know a lot about the predators early lives and any incidents that may have occurred, but one off the top of my head is Safraz Khan, who brought up in his interrogation that he was sexually assaulted as a teenager by a stranger. Any others?
